Report on the timetable for consideration of the Regulation and
Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Bill
On 23 February2015, a Government Bill, ‘Regulation and Inspection of Social Care (Wales) Bill’, was introduced in the Assembly.
On 27 January 2015, the Business Committee agreed, in accordance with Standing Order 26.9, to refer the Bill to the Health and Social Care Committee, to consider and report on the general principles.
On 3 February 2015, the Business Committee agreed, in accordance with Standing Order 26.7, a timetable for the Committee’s consideration of the general principles of the Bill and has agreed that the Committee should report to the Assembly by 3 July 2015.
The Business Committee also agreed that Stage 2 proceedings should be completed by 16 October 2015, subject to the general principles of the Bill being agreed by the Assembly.
